We still have to pay for our own bills
It’s Saturday, August 20, 2011. Now watching the FOX 2 News about Bears and Bulls.
I am not big in politics and yeah I get it, the USA is not in chaos and we are all concerned, some are even scared on where this country is leading to. But enough already! I am tired of hearing these people fighting on TV. Not listening to each other because each of them has something to say.
The reality is, we still have to pay of our own bills. Small Business owners still have to make money to pay their employees and most of all FEED THEIR/OUR FAMILY.
To me, we have to control the only asset that we have. Our MIND. We are what we listen and what we watch. If we always listen to negativities yes, we will be negative in almost everything. But if we carefully choose what we feed our mind, and that should be POSITIVITIES. We will be positive.
We are the only one who hold that KEY to our MIND. When we are positive, we become more rational, we think of better ideas that can make our business, life and family better.
Nobody can do that to us. We have to shift our brain because whatever happens, we are still responsible for our own bills.
I am going to end this blog of the day with this quote, “Money never starts an idea. It is always the idea that starts the money. ” ~Owen Laughlin
We can listen all the day to these people fighting over our economy and let them change our mind into depression, or we can brighten our day to create a better idea to help us. “Law of Attraction”
Hi Everyone! Hope everybody’s doing well
It’s been a while since I posted anything here. My life has changed a lot since I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu last March. I became a Cook at a Childrens’ Center at Brentwood. I loved my job. I cooked food for 250-125 people at one time. The challenge was making it look good and of course taste good.
It was a school for kids who were authentic, orphans, or disturbed kids. I know all our resident kids names. Including their staffs. Loved that job. Love cooking in general.
But, life changes. My husband took a job offer here in Fort Myers, Florida. So, we are here now. Got here last week.
Yeah, I quit my job there.
What struck me the most here is the growth of this place. We all know that Florida and Las Vegas are now experience the worst downfall in terms of real estate. But the growth here in small business are booming. Because people/retirees come here to spend their vacation during snow time in other state. They make a lot of money from the tourists. Including tourists from another country, like Europe and Canada. (We hear a lot of them all over the shopping centers)
With this, I am so excited because I see a lot of opportunities here, in terms of helping business owners make more money by taking care of their business, and their employees, their most important asset.
I’ll be keeping in touch!

When…
you don’t know where you want to go, Where you want to be, you can never know what you will do
in you life… Define your life’s destination…
It’s April 4, 2010! Where did the time go? What have you accomplished so far?
Wow! It’s 9:43 am, 4th of April 2010! Time flies!
Feels like it was just January 2010 yesterday and now it’s already April! Soon we will be having our Memorial Day, Thanksgiving and then Christmas is here again… How crazy is that? How fast time flies…
So from January – April 2010, what have you accomplished so far based on your plans?
So far,
1. Landed my first Full Time Job here in the United States as a Program Director of Jenny Craig. Doing my
best to hit my quota every month!
(I’ve worked since I was 14 yrs old back in the Philippines, but the challenge of finding a good and reputable
full time job here in the United States when you are a foreigner is not as easy as being born here)
2. I finished 2 Online Courses (Business Analysis and Catering)
3. Accomplished my Leadership project in Toastmasters. Now I am Advanced Leader Bronze
4. Will deliver my 10th Speech on April 13 to be a Competent Communicator in Toastmaster
5. Finished the draft of our Book which we will soon release in the market
6. Been successful in offering Webinars in our MeetUp.com (ErforMe and Lifestyle Empowerment)
7. Increased our Toastmaster Members from 10 to 16 Members (during my term as the Vice President for Education)
8. Had my “Son Dog” Ando neutered, chipped and had his yearly shots
9. Helped my husband lost 30 lbs in 12 weeks and still counting to hit his 185 lbs goal in May 2010
10. Enable to embrace the “Time of Not Doing Anything” to make myself more productive
(What I mean by this, is I was never a big fan of not doing anything. Ever since I was young, I always
kept myself busy and I was always multi tasking and doing 3-4 projects at the same time. I was never
a fan of taking time to “breathe”, to “clear my brain”, to “have time for myself.” Because I have always
been a self sacrificer. Well, since January 2010, with the help of Praying to Jehovah God Almighty, and
with the help of our Simply Effective Planner, I was able to embrace the “time of doing nothing.” Because
I scheduled that for myself. I never thought it would be so good for my brain, spirituality, individuality and
emotionally. This made me a better person with a clearer perspective and positive outlook in life.)
Now it’s your turn, “Based on your goals/plans this year, what have you accomplished so far?”
You can either blog it here or write it on your own journal. It’s your choice…
Remember what Les Brown said, “Your goals are the road maps that guide you and show you what is possible
for your life.”
P.S.
The defining moment though, is finally applying the household budget with my husband every month. So we can go to Disney World in September 2010!
